I had wanted a Harley forever. I was bound and determined I would have one by Harley-Davidson's 100th Anniversary. It wasn't looking good at the time, but through a strange confluence of events I got my 2003 XL1200C right before my birthday. Road it in the snow after it arrived from Texas because, well, I wasn't NOT going to ride it! Since then I've put a ton of stuff into it and I still love it! I of course get the question "When ya gonna trade that in for a 'bigger' bike". The answer is, was and always will be: NEVER! I've had a bagger since then and sold it. I'll probably get a Street Glide or something somewhere between now and when I'm 50, but my Sportster will never go anywhere, and will probably always get more riding time than anything else. We have a relationship. :) |
